State Tested Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Technician

The health care industry is fast growing and the demand for professionals in the industry is increasing every day.  Employment in this career is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations in the next 10 years according the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The nursing assistant training course can be completed in 80-hours.

Students learn how to offer proper patient assistance, provide help with basic needs and safely move and transport patients.

    *A $35 background check fee is due at the time of registration.

The STNA job responsibilities include

  • Answer a patient’s call signal

  • Keep records of patient’s food and excretions

  • Help bathe and dress patients

  • Help with a patient’s mobility and transportation

  • Help with feeding

  • Take vital signs

  • Keep the patient’s room clean

  • Remain friendly and helpful

Certifications Received

Graduates are eligible to sit for the state certification upon successful completion of the program.

WorkKeys Assessment
