The Career Center Announces Hiring of Industrial & Customized Training Manager

The Washington County Career Center’s Adult Technical Training Center announced the hiring of Aaron Heiss as the Industrial & Customized Training Manager.

Heiss is no stranger to the WCCC, he graduated from the High School Electricity program in 2002 and brings with him an in-depth understanding of the value of hands-on training and the skilled trades. He most recently worked as an IBEW Journeyman Wireman and Instrument Technician, working in the field.

“I look forward to working and helping our instructors with what they need to provide our students with a strong foundation and education that they can enter the workforce with confidence in their abilities to succeed,” said Heiss.

Adult Technical Training Director, Evan Schaad, commented: “Heiss’s background and knowledge will be a great asset to WCCC Adult Tech. His many years of technical experience, supervision and management will help ensure the school continues to be a leader in the community for industrial training. His background is ideal for the hands-on training the school provides to the students. We are excited for him to bring such a broad array of project experience, covering many facets of local and regional industry, to WCCC.”

In his free time Heiss serves as a board member for St Mary Catholic School and volunteers as a youth sport coach for basketball and baseball. He resides in Devola with his wife Morgan and three children, Aubrey, Drew and Gavin.
