Building Technology

This program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the construction career field. The program follows the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) curriculum and may provide the student with a pathway to the Ohio or WV apprenticeship program, through the Career Connections Certificate of Completion. 


Successful program completers who apply to Ohio Indiana Kentucky Carpenters Union will have the opportunity to sit for a placement test where up to three years of advanced standing could be awarded towards the four-year apprenticeship program.  Those applying to the WV Carpenters Union could be awarded up to one year of advanced standing.

  • Doors & Doorway Installation

  • Flat Rubber Roofing

  • Flooring Installation

  • Fundamental Components and Features of Construction Drawings

  • Hand & Power Tools

  • Materials & Fasteners

  • Metal Studding

  • Rigging, Slings & Hardware

  • Scaffold Building 

Time To Complete

  • Six Months (720 hrs)
