About The Career Center
The Career Center is an equal opportunity educational institution and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, color, national origin, sex, or disability in its activities, programs, or employment practices as required by Title VI, Title IX, Section 504, Age Discrimination Act, and Title II of the ADA.
It is our mission to design, develop, and implement training that meets the needs of local business, industries, and individuals. We are dedicated to providing progressive solutions that lead to increased productivity, enhanced individual employment opportunities, and quality of life in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The Career Center is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and the Ohio Board of Regents, Division of Vocational Education.
Tuition & Application Fee
Course fees are established to cover the operating expenses of the The Career Center Adult Technical Training programs which are self-supporting. There is no out-of-state tuition.
All programs have an application fee of $30.00. Some programs which require additional applicant evaluations will have an additional application fee. These are noted in the catalog.
Admission, Confirmation & Enrollment
Our Admissions Office is here to assist those who are considering enrollment in one of our programs. We will work with you through the admissions process, scheduling appointments of those who need financial aid and providing any assessment testing that may be required for entrance into the adult programs. It is suggested that you begin your application process early, since all programs have limited enrollment. Tuition prices are subject to change pending Board of Education approval.
Registration is confirmed by your payment of application fees on a first-come, first served basis. The school reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, up to the day before a class is to begin. Students are urged to register early to ensure a place in the class.
Each class has a minimum and maximum number of sudents. Classes will be canceled and registration fees returned in full if the minimum number of tuition-paying students is not reached.
Tuition and fee refunds are made for valid reasons that require a student to change plans and must be noted in a timely manner. The school may also retain 5% of tuition for “reasonable administration fee” or $100.00 whichever is less. A 100% refund will be given if the Adult Technical Training Office cancels a class. The costs for books, supplies, tools, and miscellaneous expenses for a quarter are considered fully expended after the first class of the quarter. Refunds are processed through the school treasury department and are made to the student within 45 days of the ‘date of determination.’ Refund policies may vary per program. For the complete Refund Policy please refer to page 16 of the Student Handbook.
Textbooks, Supplies & Tools
These items, when required, are not included in the course fees and are not refundable.
