Office Technology
This learning experience will introduce students to basic skills needed to be successful in an office related career. Knowledge and experience will be gained in the areas of computers and general office procedures, which include communication (written and verbal), time management, telephone skills, and working with others. Students will learn superior customer service skills and how to understand the customer’s needs as well as how to deal with difficult customers.
Hands-on training will be provided in relation to various types of machines and devices found in the office setting. Students will also learn skills regarding the layout and design of ads, newsletters, and other design topics. Exposure to these key skill areas of office technologies will enhance the employability and success of each participant.
